When we founded One, One Thousand in late 2010, we weren't sure if a small online publication with a narrow focus would be able to thrive. Two years later – thanks to continued support from our region's finest photographers, our loyal visitors, and the greater photography community – we've had the pleasure of sharing more than 40 spectacular portfolios and projects. They've all been made in the South, and we believe they offer unique perspectives on both the complexities of modern Southernness and the diversity of art coming out of the Southeast in the early part of this century.
To celebrate our anniversary, we organized a special January edition. An amazing and thoughtful jury had the difficult task of reviewing almost 100 submissions, and they selected work from four talented photographers.
We proudly present photographs by Lisa Elmaleh, Dawn Roe, Deb Schwedhelm, and Susan Worsham. Thanks in advance for looking.
