Project statement:
All lovely things will have an ending documents a number of banal spaces in Savannah GA, a city known for its beautiful historic district. The images manifest an interest in the mythology of the south, and question the type of imagery that is usually associated with the identity of a picturesque city. These representations of stillness and silence attempt to depict the entangled cultural structures of a place that is rapidly changing.
The title references a popular poem by Savannahian writer Conrad Aiken (1889-1973).
