Most cultures around the globe continue to adhere to a strict two-gender framework when defining their social systems, yet within many of these cultures, the concept of a "third sex" is acceptable as entertainment. In her project "Dress as Girl," Eddie Lanieri explores ideas surrounding gender identity by photographing drag queens who perform in New Orleans.
